Meet The Team

Dr. Milana Levin

I was born and raised in Belarus and moved to Canada in 1989. Edmonton has been my home ever since. I graduated from the University of Alberta Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry in 2000 with a combined BSc, DDS degrees. Upon completion of my studies, I returned to the school to become a part time clinical instructor while working full time in private practice.

I enjoy dentistry because, to me, it is a perfect combination of art, science and technical skills. It integrates cutting-edge technologies such as computer-aided design and digital imaging while allowing for old-fashioned human interaction. It is ever-evolving and challenging allowing me to continue learning and improving.

I am grateful for all the wonderful patients that have placed their trust in me over the years, they are what makes my career most rewarding.

Dr. Ann Macdonald

I am an alumni of the University of Alberta where I received a BSc. in 1991 and a DDS in 1993, and am a member of the Edmonton and District Dental Society, the Alberta Dental Association and the Canadian Dental Association. It has been very enjoyable and rewarding practicing a full spectrum of general dentistry in Edmonton for over 19 years. With the goal of improving and challenging myself, I regularly attend in depth continuing education courses to provide up to date technology and treatment to patients.I feel very fortunate to have been able to provide treatment to so many wonderful people over the years and am grateful that I can help to improve their health and quality of life. In 2006, we opened the Groat Plaza Dental office with the hopes of providing comprehensive dental care in a professional and compassionate environment.

Lise Anne - RDH

I graduated from the dental hygiene program at Dalhousie University in 1999. Since then I have worked in Nova Scotia, Ontario and Alberta as a hygienist. Although most of my career I worked in Calgary I moved to the Edmonton area in 2010 and very much enjoy living and working here. I am passionate about dentistry and take a broad spectrum of continuing education courses often to keep current and knowledgeable. I have completed the J.P. periodontal therapy program at the Las Vegas Institute as well as the laser dentistry course sponsored by Oral Science. Getting to know my patients is enjoyable. I am empathetic and strive to have patients comfortable in the operatory and hope they enjoy their dental hygiene experiences here as much as I do.

Anita - RDA, PDM

I graduated from Nait in 2000 and have had the pleasure of working with Dr. A. Macdonald and Dr. M. Levin since then. I have obtained my preventive dentistry module in 2009 and my orthodontic module in 2001.Currently I sit on the College of Alberta Dental Assistants as a councillor. I enjoy working as a dental assistant because it allows me to meet a lot of people and gain tremendous experience. I am a strong believer in a team approach to dentistry with continuous emphasis placed on education and keeping up with new technology. The most rewarding thing for me as a RDA is growing together with my dental team as well as with my patients.

Meghann is currently on maternity leave until November of 2016

Erin - RDA

I grew up in Sherwood Park and now live in Edmonton. My father is a dentist so going into dental assisting seemed natural to me, as I have been involved in the dental field from a young age. I graduated from KDM Dental College in 2010 with my dental assisting certificate. Working at Groat Plaza Family Dentistry has given me the opportunity to apply my expanded skills. I believe that continuing education and learning through experience will advance my dental career. Patient comfort is my first priority.

GloriaGloria- Office Manager

My experience in the dental field has been varied, but it all started with a College completion of a Dental Administrative course. From there I worked as a Dental Administrative Assistant, moving to a Treatment Coordinator and then as an Office Manager. It has been a rewarding career and through the years I have attended and completed many continuing education courses to improve my knowledge in the dental field.

Along with my office administrative duties as Groat Plaza's office manager, it is my privilege helping our patients to achieve great oral health, and look forward to many more great encounters with new families joining our growing practice.

I graduated from NAIT in 2010 and have been practicing ever since! Dental Assisting is a very rewarding job for me, as I get to help people better understand what we do in the dental office and how it will help them specifically. I truly believe that preventative care and patient education are the keys to optimal dental health. I understand how uneasy some patients can feel about their dental visits, and I am confident that I can make a difference by providing a relaxing and positive experience. Working at Groat Plaza Family Dentistry, along side Dr. Macdonald, Dr. Levin and the rest of our wonderful team, is an absolute pleasure!
